A Bit About Me
Welcome to Dreaming Tree Counseling! I’m Emma (she/her), and I specialize in working with children (5+), teens, and neurodivergent individuals. I also provide compassionate support for those navigating grief and loss. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where young people and families feel understood, accepted, and empowered to grow.
I believe therapy is most effective when it feels collaborative, playful, and tailored to each person’s unique needs. With children and teens, I integrate creativity, curiosity, and developmentally appropriate interventions to make therapy engaging and effective. For neurodivergent clients, I provide affirming care that celebrates strengths while offering tools to navigate the challenges of living in a world not built for your neurotype.
My approach is holistic and strengths-based, weaving together Internal Family Systems (parts work), mindfulness, somatic approaches, and play therapy. Whether your child is coping with big emotions, your teen is navigating life transitions, or your family is working through grief, I meet each client with empathy, patience, and respect.
It’s an honor to walk alongside children, teens, and families on their journey toward resilience, healing, and hope.

Work Experience
Hospice of Lenawee - Outpatient Therapist Intern
Sprouted Sage - Intensive Early Intervention Specialist intern.
Dreaming Tree Counseling - Outpatient Therapist
I received my Masters of Social Work from the University of Michigan. During this time I worked as an Early Intervention Specialist working with children diagnosed with autism.
From 2022-2023 I interned at Hospice of Lenawee where I worked with children and adults navigating complicated grief - while also advocating for LGBTQIA2S+ inclusivity within the hospice setting.
I have since been trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Trauma Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST) - a form of parts work. I plan to continue my education in different treatment modalities to provide the best treatment to my clients.
My goal is to guide you in healing, growth, and developing increased feelings of connection to both yourself and others. Together we can work towards building a renewed sense of purpose and empowerment. If you'd like to see if we would be a good fit, please reach out a free consultation!
