A Bit About Me

Welcome to Dreaming Tree Counseling! I’m Elizabeth Wingard, but you can call me Libby (She/Her).

I work with individuals healing from complex trauma, using EMDR, IFS, mindfulness, and somatic strategies to help calm the nervous system, process difficult experiences, and build resilience. My approach is gentle, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs—you set the pace, and I walk alongside you.

As a bisexual therapist and proud member of the queer community, I strive to create a safe, affirming space where all identities are welcomed and honored. Whether you are navigating past trauma, life transitions, or ongoing stress, my goal is to help you reconnect with yourself, find clarity, and move toward healing with empathy, understanding, and support every step of the way.

Work Experience

Family Services & Children's Aid - BSW Intern

Family Services & Children's Aid - Behavioral Health Case Coordinator/ MSW Intern

Dreaming Tree Counseling - Clinical Therapist

For the past two years, I worked at Family Services & Children's Aid, where I supported youth in building social and academic skills, facilitated group therapy, provided substance abuse assessments, and offered individual therapy. This experience deepened my passion for creating supportive, affirming spaces and strengthened my ability to meet clients of all ages with warmth, flexibility, and care.

I have since been trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and have taken trainings on IFS (Internal Family Systems) - a form of parts work.

I am committed to ongoing training in the most effective and emerging treatment approaches, so you can feel confident in knowing that the care you receive is informed, up-to-date, and tailored to your unique needs.
